Tamra Green (Tamra The Great) is a Jamaican born artist who migrated to the United Kingdom.

Tamra creates bold, colourful pieces rooted in the concept of escapism. This artist uses her personal experiences with grief to influence a lot of her pieces. Transmuting that sadness in vibrant portraits. She hopes others who suffer from grief can find joy through her pieces.

Exploring concepts of race and cultural identity, Tamra aims to create a safe space in her paintings, where people across the black diaspora can experience a world free from, what she likes to call "sufferation".

Tamra explores multiple medium from acrylic paint, sharpies and digital depending on what the piece demands. She describes her process as a collaboration between her the artist and the piece itself and believes the final outcome is ultimately not her choice alone. She is simply the guide who brings each piece into the physical so others can observe them.
